NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks a full-time Senior Obstetrician to lead Labor & Delivery and serve as Patient Safety Lead across two major NYU Langone campuses. Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/GYN with advanced leadership skills and a focus on safety in high-acuity obstetric care.
• Minimum five years of continuous active clinical practice in obstetrics.
• Completion of a U.S.-accredited OB/GYN residency program.
• Active New York State medical license.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, high-quality care, and medical education.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex obstetric deliveries (twin vaginal deliveries, shoulder dystocia, hemorrhage, operative deliveries) and manage labor response teams.
• Provide real-time clinical consultation and decision-making support to the obstetric team and participate in emergency cesarean sections when needed.
• Promote adherence to evidence-based obstetric protocols and safety standards and participate in adverse event reviews.
• Lead system-level quality and safety improvements and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee trainees and Advance Practice Practitioners; engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research.
