Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx seeks a Director of Labor and Delivery to lead the OB/GYN department in a unified model across both campuses with a Level III NICU. The role combines clinical leadership, quality improvement, and academic collaboration with PAGNY and Einstein/City University of New York affiliations.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain minimum 80% clinical effort as OB Hospitalist on Labor and Delivery floor.
• Outpatient appointments may be permitted.
• Collaborate with Nursing and Midwifery to coordinate patient care.
• Chair OB Quality Committee to guide quality initiatives.
• Track metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote adoption of efficient and cost‑effective patient care.
• Monthly in-house call coverage; back‑up call as needed by clinical expertise.
