To provide leadership and accountability in the strategic and daily operations of the clinical service.Developing and maintains excellent physician and associate relations, accountable for the quality ofpatient care provided by the nursing service. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, andevaluating all functions of the service to include quality, administrative, and financial outcomes.Oversees the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursingpractice for the service and the nursing professional practice as a whole. Assure achievement of department, nursing division and hospital goals as well as adherence to hospital policies and standardsset forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies. May provide leadership over other departments thatcollaborate with nursing for care of the patients served.
Span of control 250 head count and/or specialty alignment. May carry between 4 to 6 leaders as direct reports. Between 4 to 8 cost centers reporting. Reports to CNO/VP Patient Care Services.
Position will oversee nursing unit, same day recovery, case management, and PAT.
