Position Summary: Kestra Financial seeks a seasoned Director of Network Engineering with expertise in the Fortinet security stack and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure based on Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiMonitor, and FortiClient EMS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of network security engineers
• Plan network modernization strategies with the Head of Infrastructure
• Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures using the Fortinet security stack
• Manage relationships with MSPs
• Configure and maintain FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, and UTM features
• Deploy and oversee security operations via FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer
• Monitor and respond to security threats and incidents
• Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits
• Maintain documentation on configurations and best practices
• Provide technical support and collaborate across teams
• Support after-hours and weekend needs

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in network security engineering roles
• Deep expertise in Fortinet product suite
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs
• Experience with segmentation, remote access, threat protection
• Understanding of network architecture, BGP, OSPF, switching
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Fortinet integrations (Azure AD, OKTA)
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification or higher (NSE 5-7 preferred)
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, Ansible)
• Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS)
• Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare) a plus
