Job Summary

The Senior Network Engineering Lead provides engineering, deployment of engineering solutions, and support services for both cloud and on-premise network infrastructures. Responsibilities include technical expertise in network analysis, design, planning, assessment, development, and implementation. The role involves supporting network architecture and operations on cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, acting as a primary escalation support resource, and managing vendor relations and system issues related to IT Infrastructure environments.

Essential Functions

  • Support and own the network infrastructure globally, ensuring stability, availability, reliability, and performance. Manage network hardware including routers, switches, load balancers, and virtual appliances.
  • Design network topologies and architectures to meet complex business needs, communicating technology impacts effectively.
  • Develop technical and business relationships, analyze requirements for large projects, and translate them into effective designs.
  • Assist application and IT teams with technology assessments, upgrades, and technical support to meet business needs. Manage network service projects aligned with deployment schedules.
  • Provide third-level support for all locations, including issues with network access, Wi-Fi, internet, hardware, and other devices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for network components, diagrams, and data flows.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely IT service delivery.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues.
  • Lead or support projects using project management techniques.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with configuration management, network security, architecture, and systems integration.
  • Ability to conceptualize system configurations to solve business problems.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across organizational levels.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environments, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols, security, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or related field.
  • H.S. diploma or GED required.
  • 7+ years of experience with SD-WAN, routing, switching, WAN technologies, and network security.
  • Experience managing large-scale monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Experience with multi-site WAN infrastructure, cloud network support, and relevant certifications (CCNP, CCNA, AWS or Azure).

Other Details

Travel: 1-10%

Safety Sensitive: Yes, adherence to safety standards required at onsite visits.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000, with potential bonuses and benefits.
