Job summary

Divergent in Los Angeles seeks a Director of Non-Destructive Evaluation to lead the NDE engineering and production inspection teams. You will own the enterprise NDE strategy, develop methods across RT, CT, UT/PAUT, and coordinate with Materials, Design, Manufacturing and Quality.

This leadership role focuses on building standardized workflows, validating new inspection technologies, and integrating data into MES and the digital thread, while guiding qualification and production readiness in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field.
• Active Level III certification in RT/CT/UT-PAUT or PT.
• Experience leading NDE engineering and production inspection operations.
• Experience developing and qualifying NDE procedures for production.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the NDE engineering team and production inspection organization.
• Own the enterprise NDE strategy and technology roadmap across multiple materials and processes.
• Lead development, validation, and qualification of inspection methods (RT, CT, PT, UT/PAUT).
• Establish standardized inspection workflows, training, calibration, and governance.
• Develop novel NDE approaches for the DAPS manufacturing system and digital thread integration.
• Integrate NDE data into MES, traceability, automated disposition, and digital thread.
