Job summary

Avangrid Power Transmission & Interconnection is seeking a Director to lead interconnection and transmission strategies across all U.S. ISOs/RTOs, ensuring alignment with renewable project development.

You will oversee negotiating agreements, guiding filings, and managing a team of analysts. In this role, you will interact with regulators, transmission owners, and project teams nationwide, driving strategic initiatives and financial/operational terms alignment across Avangrid Renewables’

Qualifications

• Proven negotiation of interconnection agreements with project risk consideration.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO tariff procedures for generator interconnections.
• Knowledge of Federal, ISO, FERC and state interconnection and transmission development.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement interconnection and transmission strategies across U.S. ISOs/RTOs.
• Represent Avangrid Renewables’ strategy before transmission owners and regulators.
• Lead a team of interconnection analysts and coordinate studies with ISOs and third parties.
• Manage interconnection agreements and filings, ensuring compliance with tariffs and orders.
• Coordinate with cross-functional groups to align schedules and budgets.
