Job summary

Caris seeks an experienced leader to establish and head a Molecular Science Liaison team, communicating the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence to physicians, scientists, and KOLs through face-to-face discussions across the United States.

You will manage day-to-day MSL operations, develop training, track activity, and act as a conduit between medical communities and Caris to support patient care, research, and clinical trials while presenting data at sites and conferences.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MD in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular/cellular biology.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals/commercial lab preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the MSL team; recommend national staffing plans.
• Create and coordinate training to ensure up-to-date technology education.
• Track MSL activity and customer interactions.
• Act as a conduit between the medical community and Caris regarding products and needs to enhance patient care, research, clinical trials, and therapeutic approaches.

• Present clinical data at physician sites and conferences (regionally or nationally).

• Provide commercial input/review of marketing materials.

Position Summary

• Establish and lead a team of Molecular Science Liaisons (MSLs). Communicate the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence (CMI) to external clients (physicians, scientists, KOLs), primarily through face-to-face discussions.

Job Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the MSL team; recommend national staffing plans.
• Create and coordinate training/enablement to ensure up-to-date technology education.
• Track MSL activity and customer interactions.
• Act as a conduit between the medical community and Caris regarding products and needs to enhance patient care, research, clinical trials, and therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct medical/scientific education to support field presence and market awareness.
• Present clinical data and educational materials at physician sites and/or conferences (regionally or nationally).
• Attend POA/Commercial pitch meetings and other relationship meetings.
• Promote CMI to physician sites across the U.S.; support and present at molecular tumor boards.
• Read and understand scientific/technical literature for customer engagement.
• Support special projects; assist with speaker training (Caris Speaker’s Bureau); function as field trainer.
• Deliver regional speaking engagements; attend select regional/national tradeshows and sales meetings.
• Provide commercial input/review of marketing materials.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular/cellular biology (or equivalent training/experience).
• 3+ years of management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceuticals/commercial lab; prior customer/sales organization field experience.
• Creative, independent, self-motivated; strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter in fast-paced deadline-driven environments; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
• Strong communication, teamwork, customer service focus.
