Job summary

Caris Life Sciences seeks a Director – Molecular Science Liaisons to establish and lead a national MSL team. The role centers on communicating the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence to physicians, scientists, and KOLs through direct, face-to-face discussions.

Responsibilities include day-to-day management of the MSL team, staffing planning, and delivering scientific education. Will travel regularly across the U.S. to engage key sites and conferences.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. in pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular/cellular biology.
• 3+ years of management experience.

Position Summary

The Director – Molecular Science Liaisons will establish and lead a team of Molecular Science Liaisons (MSLs). MSLs communicate the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence (CMI) to external clients (physicians, scientists, KOLs) primarily through face-to-face discussions.

Job Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the MSL team.
• Recommend national staffing plans.
• Create and coordinate training and enablement for up-to-date company technology education.
• Track MSL activity and customer interactions.
• Serve as information/feedback conduit between the medical community and Caris Life Sciences regarding products and medical needs.
• Conduct medical/scientific education; present clinical data to physician sites and/or conferences.
• Attend POA/commercial pitch meetings and onsite relationship meetings.
• Promote CMI to physician sites across the U.S.
• Support/present at molecular tumor board meetings.
• Read and understand scientific/technical literature for customer engagement.
• Support special projects; assist with speaker bureau training and act as field trainer.
• Participate in speaking engagements, tradeshows, sales meetings; provide commercial input/review of marketing materials.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular/cellular biology.
• 3+ years of management experience.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Commercial experience (pharma or commercial lab) and/or field customer/sales experience.
• Creative problem-solving; independent sound judgment; self-motivation.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and customer-service focus.
• Self-starter in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
