Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Director Mission Assurance 2 to lead the Quality and Mission Assurance organization within the Weapons Systems Division. The role can be based in Northridge, CA; Mesa, AZ; Plymouth, MN; Elkton, MD; or Rocket Center, WV, with travel up to 10%.

The position requires strong leadership, communication, and governance of mission assurance programs to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality aerospace products and services. Active Secret or higher clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience; or Master’s degree with 8+ years.
• Active US Clearance (Secret or higher).
• Experience in aircraft, aerospace, manufacturing, quality, program management, engineering, or business management.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success.
• Assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Drives continuous improvement of people, products, processes and services using lean, six-sigma and best practices.
• Reviews trend metrics and implements improvements to enhance performance.
• Oversees factory accountability and foreign object elimination practices.
