Job description

Accelerate your career. Join the organization that's driving the world's technology and shape the future. Ingram Micro is a leading technology company for the global information technology ecosystem. With the ability to reach nearly 90% of the global population, we play a vital role in the worldwide IT sales channel, bringing products and services from technology manufacturers and cloud providers to business-to-business technology experts. Our market reach, diverse solutions and services portfolio, and digital platform Ingram Micro Xvantage™ set us apart.

Come join our team where you’ll make technology happen in surprising ways. Let’s shape tomorrow - it’ll be a fun journey!

The Director, Microsoft leads the Microsoft Cloud & AI Alliance and its solutions portfolio, including the relationship, incentives, investments, and roadmap that turn strategy into partner-ready GTM. The role is accountable for accelerating growth in the Microsoft cloud business, advancing the Copilot and agent plan, and delivering the Center of Excellence commitments made jointly with Microsoft. It leads the Practice Leads for Cloud & AI Platforms, AI Business Solutions, and Security, along with the Solutions GTM Lead, while working through regional business stakeholders who own local execution.

The ideal candidate brings deep alliance experience, strong commercial judgment, and enough technical fluency to manage Microsoft investment and incentive plans, turn program requirements into sellable offers, and keep cross-functional teams focused on a committed roadmap. This person can engage credibly with senior Microsoft stakeholders and internal sales, services, platform, and finance teams, while helping the business move from cloud resale toward AI, agents, and attached services.

Your role:
  • Lead the Microsoft alliance relationship and executive cadence on a global basis, and prepare and present business reviews to Ingram Micro and Microsoft senior leadership.
  • Stand up three Centers of Excellence (Agent Factory, Copilot and Agent Services, and SMB Offers), each with a named owner and a funded plan.
  • Deliver the Copilot and agent growth plan against joint targets, and align incentives so results are measurable for both Ingram Micro and Microsoft.
  • Grow Ingram Micro's share under Microsoft's evolving partner funding model by converting program funding into measurable partner capability.
  • Own the Microsoft roadmap and its delivery with the platform organization, holding both sides to their commitments without direct authority over engineering.
  • Run Microsoft partner programs at channel scale through Ingram Micro's partner enablement program, connecting program demand to certified partners with the solution play, funding, and scope defined.
  • Partner with the Forward-Deployed Engineering practice on Microsoft-native solutions, including the first Microsoft FDE team, customer-zero engagements on Copilot and agents, and playbooks developed into curriculum and catalog offers.
  • Lead data sharing with Microsoft, including two-way data exchange, propensity and adoption signals, and joint governance.
  • Lead a high-performing team of Practice Leads, a Technical Services Lead, Solutions GTM Lead, and Operations Programs Manager, and hire new roles as they open.
What you bring to the role:
  • Deep Microsoft channel experience across CSP, partner programs, incentives, and Copilot go-to-market, including experience working with or for Microsoft.
  • Track record of leading a vendor alliance at the director level against a defined growth target and funded plan, and delivering results.
  • Fluency in Microsoft integration points, including APIs, Marketplace automation, Model Context Protocol, and agent frameworks, and the ability to engage credibly with technical audiences.
  • Strong commercial judgment across market share, partner funding models, and program economics, with the ability to measure and demonstrate return.
  • Experience setting strategy centrally and executing through local markets across regions.
  • Collaborative approach to vendor partnerships, including co-owning a roadmap with an engineering organization without direct authority.
  • Experience leading practice leads and program managers, including hiring and developing a team through an organizational change.
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or postgraduate professional qualification preferred.
  • 10+ years in the software, cloud, or technology industry, including 5+ years of leadership experience in a direct supervisory role and 5+ years working with channel partners.
  • Consistently exceeds goals and key performance metrics, with hands‑on experience operating vendor programs, incentives, and joint targets.
  • International experience executing through local markets; regular international travel required.
  • Strong written, analytical, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to cross-functional audiences and CXO-level executives.
AI Fluency
  • Uses frontier AI tools daily, can evaluate an agentic architecture with technical teams, and sets the AI fluency standard for the team.
  • Completes Ingram Micro’s internal AI certification curriculum within the first 90 days.
  • Microsoft AI-900 is the minimum certification for every role on the team.
  • Interviews include a discussion of how the candidate uses AI today, including tools, changes to workflows, and results delivered.
