Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Director of Product Management and Design to lead the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and production planning platforms. You will guide a multi-disciplinary team, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing partners, and drive AI-enabled decision making to improve yields and throughput.

You will live on the factory floor occasionally and travel up to 30% to align on-site operations with strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
10+ years of product and software experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing teams.
Experience in manufacturing or production planning domains, solving problems through software.
Ability to influence executives and drive complex decisions across functions.
Proficiency with AI harnesses and coding tools.

Responsibilities

Define strategy, roadmap, and priorities for Blue Origin's MES and Production Planning systems.
Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of product managers and UX designers.
Champion a culture of customer/user focus, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing domains.
Live on the factory floor as needed to solve problems with manufacturing operations teams.
