Job summary

Evidence Action seeks an EVP of Evidence to lead Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation, cost-effectiveness, and epidemiology at a pivotal moment. You will ensure reliability of the evidence guiding program design, delivery, and scale, while maintaining independence in assessment.

You will sit on the Global Leadership Team and report to the CEO, shaping strategy, driving measurable improvements, and expanding the organization’s impact across countries and programs.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent quantitative expertise is required.
• Experience leading technical teams in global health or development settings.
• Ability to judge evidence quality and guide program decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a holistic evidence function across MLE, cost-effectiveness, and epidemiology; integrate across portfolios.
• Own independent quality assurance and ensure standards for evidence and uncertainty.
• Provide evidence-based recommendations for scale-up, iteration, and wind-down decisions.
• Represent Evidence Action externally to donors, board, and partners with credibility.
