Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Director of System Medical Staff Operations to provide enterprise leadership overseeing credentialing, privileging, governance, and regulatory compliance across the system. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, ensuring accreditation readiness, and delivering a superior provider experience across facilities.

The incumbent will partner with executive and physician leaders to standardize processes, plan for growth, and ensure organizational goals are met

Qualifications

• 5 years Leadership and Management experience with responsibility for staff, operational performance, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
• 10+ years Medical Staff services/ Credentialing, Privileging, Regulatory Compliance, Healthcare Operations, or related healthcare leadership Experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership and oversight for Medical Staff Operations across the Novant Health system, including governance, credentialing, privileging, and regulatory readiness.
• Establishes goals, metrics, and strategies to support provider readiness and accreditation requirements.
• Leads regional Medical Staff Operations leaders to ensure consistent service delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees development and improvement of policies, workflows, and governance processes for compliance and efficiency.
• Serves as a liaison between executive leadership and medical staff to enable effective decision-making.
