Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Irvine, CA, seeks a Director of Medical Affairs for Electrophysiology to lead strategic medical input across device development, evidence generation, and lifecycle management. You will partner with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Clinical teams to shape product opportunities and training programs.

The role requires deep cardiovascular knowledge, leadership skills, and a track record in medical affairs within regulated medical devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a life sciences or technical field is required.
• Advanced degree (MD/PhD/PharmD) is highly preferred.
• Prior Medical Affairs and/or Medical Science Liaison experience in regulated medical devices is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in product development within cardiovascular industries is required.
• At least 3 years in Medical Affairs is required.
• Experience in electrophysiology is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to learn complex technology and clinical applications.

Responsibilities

• Influence regulatory and commercial strategy across R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality & Compliance.
• Lead clinical studies for regulatory and physician-initiated projects with training and data analysis.
• Support platform launches by activating sites and training physicians.
• Develop and disseminate evidence generation strategies for sponsored and investigator-initiated research.
• Participate in governance forums and leadership teams.
• Engage key opinion leaders, societies, payers, and providers to identify trends and insights.
