Rally is the media orchestration platform the business runs on. It moves assets at volume across seven hubs, it carries the automated workflows behind our largest accounts, and it is the spine that the next phase of automation is being built on top of. It is also the platform through which our clients increasingly place orders and hand us media directly.
This role owns it: the strategy, the roadmap, the development team and the commercial relationship with SDVI behind it. It is a leadership role first and a technical role second. We are not looking for the best engineer on the team. We are looking for the person who decides what the team builds, makes sure it reaches production, and can hold a technical argument with a studio's engineering lead without flinching.
What you own
- Product strategy and roadmap. Where Rally goes, in what order, and why. You bring the plan rather than wait for one, and you defend it with reasoning the business can follow.
- The development team. The Rally developers report to you. Hiring, structure, prioritization, delivery discipline and growth. Today the team carries real key-person concentration, and resolving that is an early expectation.
- Client API integrations. Netflix, Amazon, Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery all connect to us or want to. You own the design and delivery of those integrations and you are the technical voice in the room with the client.
- The SDVI relationship and its cost line. Commercial ownership of the platform relationship, including consumption, allocation and what we are actually paying for.
- Contribution to the systems roadmap. Our order management and task management systems are being specified for a significant rebuild. You contribute to that specification alongside the transformation lead, and you own anything that touches media orchestration outright.
- Automation delivered into production. Workflows that run on live client volume, with retry, audit trail and a named failure path. Not prototypes.
What we are looking for
- Media supply chain, without exception. You have worked in media orchestration, post production workflow or broadcast engineering, and you understand ingest, transcode, conform, QC, packaging and delivery at a technical level. This is not negotiable for this role.
- A leader of engineers. You have managed a development team and are measured on what the team ships, not on what you ship. You will be technical enough to review a design, challenge an estimate and read the code, and disciplined enough not to write it.
- Strategy and initiative. The single most important quality. You identify what should be built before anyone asks you, you make the case, and you drive it through to production. A capable executor who waits for direction will not succeed here.
- Delivery to production, repeatedly. A track record of things that actually went live and stayed live, with users who adopted them. We will ask for specifics.
- Secures user input before building. You go to the operators, understand the real workflow, and design against it. We have learned what the alternative costs.
- Surfaces dependencies early. You raise structural blockers while there is still time to act on them, not at the deadline.
- Credible externally. You can hold a design conversation with a studio engineering team and represent Iyuno well in it.
What success looks like
- First 90 days. You know the platform, the estate and the team first-hand. Delivery discipline is visibly better, and you have brought us a roadmap rather than received one.
- First six months. Key-person risk on the development team is resolved. At least one significant automation is live on real client volume. Client integrations are moving on dates the client believes.
- First year. Rally is demonstrably the spine of how media moves through the business, the team ships predictably, and you are driving the technical agenda rather than servicing it.
Why this is worth taking
Most platform roles in this industry are maintenance. This one is not. Iyuno is rebuilding global media and project management around automation and agents over the next several years, and Rally is the layer that makes it possible. You will own a platform that is already in production at scale, with real client integrations and a clear mandate to expand it, inside a programme that has executive sponsorship and a budget conversation attached to it. You will report to someone who understands the technology and wants a partner on it, not a subordinate.
