Job summary

DAC, a global full-funnel performance media agency, seeks a Director, Media to lead strategic decisions and oversee multi-channel campaigns including SEM, Display, and Paid Social.

You will mentor a growing media team, collaborate with PMO and account leads, and report program health to executives while delivering measurable results for clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum university degree in Business or college equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years advanced Digital Media campaign planning/management experience (traditional media experience a plus).
  • Google Ads certified.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integrated media campaigns, strategies and tactics.
  • 5+ years team leadership experience, ideally in an agency environment.
  • A growth mindset for expanding campaigns and opportunities within the client base.
  • Eager to understand, test and implement new media methodologies with a focus on improving service offerings.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate interpretation capabilities.
  • Proven record of working on multiple time-sensitive projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and report on cross-channel media engagements.
  • Represent integrated media approach to internal and external audiences.
  • Oversee development of junior media team members.
  • Track and conduct periodic check-ins with employees to ensure training and development.
  • Communicate on an ongoing basis with media and account teams; conduct weekly status sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with media team members to oversee and improve internal processes for clients.
  • Facilitate effective resource management across assigned media team.
  • Track, measure, and report on media program health across the media and account team.
  • Work with PMO to regularly report to leadership on project health and staffing plans.
  • Communicate progress to plan and regular execution-focused program updates to leadership.
  • Attend and actively participate in client and new business meetings as Media SME.
  • Develop and present deliverables and presentations in a client-friendly format.
  • Communicate project status and campaign performance to agency executives and account teams.
  • Be extremely skilled at communicating with the client base.
  • Present research, insights, campaign performance and recommendations to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle escalations of client issues and communicate accordingly with office stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic leadership in development of programs to meet campaign objectives across SEM, Display, Paid Social, and other channels.
  • Lead team activities for campaign planning, keyword research, media vendor selection and budget management.
  • Understand, vet and recommend new digital methodologies to improve service offerings.

Position Summary

This person is responsible for strategic decisions ensuring implementation of digital and traditional paid media and SEM best practices, trends and analysis, integrated digital planning, and oversight of program execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Work with subject matters experts cross‑trained in SEM, Programmatic, and Paid Social to create, execute, and report on cross‑channel media engagements. May also include offline media execution as well.
  • Represent integrated media approach to internal and external audiences.
  • Oversee the development of junior (coordinator, specialist and manager) level media team members.
  • Track and conduct periodic check‑ins with employees to ensure consistency in training and development across the broader media team.
  • Communicate on an on‑going basis with media and account team members and conduct weekly status sessions to provide support where required.
  • Work collaboratively with media team members to oversee and improve internal processes in order to provide high‑quality service for clients.
  • Facilitate effective resource management across assigned media team.
  • Track, measure, and report on media program health across the media and account team.
  • Work with PMO to regularly report to leadership on project health, resourcing issues, and broader staffing plans.
  • Communicate progress to plan and regular execution focused program updates to leadership.
  • Attend and actively participate in client and new business meetings, acting as the Media subject matter expert to contribute the integrated perspective.
  • Develop and present deliverables and presentations in a client‑friendly format.
  • Communicate project status and campaign performance to agency executives, and account teams.

Salary at DAC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DAC’s total compensation package for employees.
