Job summary

The Boston Medical Center Health System seeks an experienced Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division Director to provide strategic leadership of the MFM faculty and to oversee outpatient and inpatient high-risk obstetric care. The role drives care plans, safety initiatives, and policy development while reporting to the site Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

It includes 10% protected administrative time and a compensation package reflective of leadership responsibilities, with equity and inclusion

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in OB/GYN and MFM.
• Minimum of five years clinical experience beyond fellowship training.
• Well-developed managerial and communication skills.
• Commitment to BMCHS mission and eliminating disparities in health care outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategy for clinical excellence and growth of the division.
• Lead faculty development including recruitment and hiring.
• Participate in performance reviews for MFM division.
• Coordinate care for high-risk patients with medical and nursing teams.
• Lead MFM division activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Ensure coverage for outpatient/inpatient MFM responsibilities, including daily rounds on Labor & Delivery.
• Participate in inpatient obstetrics on BMC-Brighton Labor & Delivery.
• Lead quality improvement addressing racial inequities in maternal care.
• Participate in clinical services initiatives with emphasis on quality and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations through supervision of quality and safety.
• Contribute to OB maternal morbidity and mortality meeting preparation.
• Contribute to OB Case review meeting preparation.
• Contribute to Maternal Child Health Policy formation.
• Report to Credentialing and Privileging on issues needing intervention.
• Participate in supervision and training of faculty and medical students.
