Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking a Director of Materials Management to lead a growing industrial materials operation. The role focuses on building systems, processes, and a high-performing team to support expansion.

You will oversee warehouse and inventory operations, implement strategies to improve accuracy and availability, and drive cross-functional improvements with Maintenance and Operations. Strong SAP expertise and a proven transformation track record are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in materials management, warehouse operations, inventory management, or supply chain execution, preferably in a plant/heavy industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on SAP experience is important for this role and a track record of transforming operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day warehouse, inventory, and materials management operations
• Develop and execute strategies to improve inventory accuracy, material availability, and warehouse efficiency
• Drive transformation initiatives across warehouse processes, systems, workflows, and physical operations
• Build and develop the materials management organization, including leadership of warehouse supervisors and operational teams
• Partner with Maintenance and Operations to develop critical spares strategies and address material requirements
• Establish processes for inventory reviews, stocking strategies, material planning, and operational readiness
• Improve receiving, storage, staging, material movement, and inventory control practices
• Leverage SAP and materials data to strengthen inventory controls and visibility
• Develop and monitor KPIs to identify bottlenecks and support continuous improvement
• Lead improvement projects from strategy through implementation and adoption
