Director, Market Access Strategy, Access Optimization Lead (Oncology)

Join to apply for the Director, Market Access Strategy, Access Optimization Lead (Oncology) role at GSK.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Market Access Strategy and involves creating and owning comprehensive Market Access strategies across various payers and customer segments, including institutional, pricing/contracting, and patient services.

The Director will develop strategies supporting access across the landscape, identify customer and competitive insights, and adapt the value proposition accordingly. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams, influencing market access and launch strategies, and leading key activities to advance your career.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Create and own access strategies for brands and therapeutic areas at the channel level, focusing on resource trade-offs and forecast management.
  2. Monitor access environment and competitive landscape to evolve strategies and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  3. Drive synergies with broader brand strategies and deliver insights to leadership.
  4. Develop access journey maps and tactical plans for key customer segments.
  5. Partner with marketing, analytics, and other teams to align value propositions and develop customer materials.
  6. Support insights development through primary and syndicated market research.
  7. Monitor industry trends, policy changes, and external issues impacting reimbursement and access.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years in market access or biopharma, with 2+ years in oncology.
  • Experience in payer strategy, product launch, and managing trade-offs within budgets.
  • Excellent communication, influencing skills, and ability to operate independently.
