Job summary

PowerSecure seeks a Director of Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering to lead Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement across the organization. The role reports to the VP of Manufacturing and sets strategy, standards, and systems to translate product designs into safe, repeatable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years progressive experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering or operations; 5+ years leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of EBOM-to-MBOM, plant layout, routings, methods of manufacture, and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams.
• Develop and execute a multi-year functional strategy aligned with growth and capacity expansion.
• Own manufacturing processes from design release to production readiness and sustained execution.
• Lead equipment, tooling, and automation strategy and capital projects; ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Lead cross-site implementation of Lean manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, and standard work.
• Represent Manufacturing in new product introductions and readiness activities; ensure manufacturability and launch readiness.
• Establish governance, performance metrics, and reporting to executive leadership and plant leadership.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team; foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
