Job summary

Flex is seeking a Director, Corporate Development (M&A) to lead strategic transactions for SpinCo, the planned independent unit from Flex’s Cloud & Power Infrastructure. The role drives acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, and partnerships, guiding cross-functional teams through due diligence and closing.

You will build robust financial models, craft strategic analyses, and present recommendations to senior leadership. Travel ~20% and relocation to Austin, TX are expected.

Qualifications

• MBA (Finance or Accounting) preferred.
• 10+ years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory.
• Experience leading transactions through due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and full-cycle M&A.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis capabilities.
• Public company experience preferred.
• Ability to develop concise presentation materials for senior management.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel ~20%.
• Must reside or relocate to Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, joint ventures, and partnerships to support SpinCo's growth strategy.
• Lead evaluation of transactions: strategic fit, financial modeling, synergies, valuation, risk, and expected returns.
• Manage end-to-end M&A execution: due diligence, negotiation, structuring, agreements, approvals, closing.
• Develop investment recommendations and present to executives.
• Support governance, processes, and best practices for scalable execution.
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders, including senior leaders and advisors.
