About Loop

Loop is industrializing services through AI, starting with one of the world's most complex industries: the global supply chain. We're an AI-native company built to solve the systemic data problem that's held logistics back for decades. Our Logistics Data Platform turns fragmented, unstructured data into a trusted foundation that fuels automation, financial clarity, and decision intelligence at scale. Today, Loop serves >20% of the Fortune 100, manages over $30B in supply chain spend, and helps its clients save hundreds of millions of dollars each year. We recently closed a $95M Series C and are backed by leading investors including Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, 8VC, Index Ventures, J.P. Morgan, and more than 50 industry-leading angel investors. Our team brings deep expertise from Uber, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Flexport, C3 AI, VMware, Box, UPS, and C.H. Robinson and we're looking for builders who want to help shape what comes next.

About The Role

You will find, evaluate, and close acquisitions for Loop, and then help build the businesses you bring in. This is not a traditional corp dev role. Every acquisition becomes part of Loop permanently, so every deal you work on is one you will live with. The quality of your judgment compounds. You will own the full deal lifecycle: sourcing proprietary opportunities, building relationships with founders and owners, underwriting businesses, leading diligence, and driving transactions to close. The work doesn't stop at signing. You will stay close to each business post-close and help realize the AI transformation. There are no layers between you and the work. You run your own processes, build your own relationships, and bring recommendations directly to the CEO and leadership team. The structure is flat because the work demands it. As Loop grows, this role scales with it. You will build deep expertise in supply chain services and develop a network of owners, bankers, and operators, and help shape the M&A strategy. This is an in-person role based in New York, with the expectation of being in the office 4+ days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source proprietary acquisition opportunities across logistics services and adjacent supply chain businesses
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with founders, family owners, bankers, and operators
  • Build financial models, underwrite businesses, develop value creation playbooks, and evaluate complex deal structures independently
  • Lead diligence end to end, partnering with Legal, Product, and Engineering
  • Drive transactions from first conversation through LOI, definitive agreements, and close
  • Write investment memos and board materials to an institutional standard
  • Stay close to acquired businesses post-close, shaping integration plans and operating models with management
  • Help define how Loop's AI platform is deployed inside each acquired company
About You
  • You have 8-12 years of experience in M&A, private equity, investment banking, or corporate development, with deals you have led to close
  • You have a strong financial and analytical foundation and can build models and underwrite businesses on your own
  • You earn trust with founders, family owners, and senior executives making the most consequential decisions of their careers
  • You are an exceptional writer; memos, board materials, and deal correspondence are held to an institutional standard
  • You are curious about how businesses actually operate, not just how they look in a spreadsheet
  • You are entrepreneurial and thrive in high-agency environments and have a passion for business building with AI
