Job summary

Reserv seeks a Director, Financial Operations to own the loss fund function across the U.S. and Lloyd’s markets. You will design controls, govern banking relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance while guiding a growing team of senior analysts and managers.

You will align finance language with claims operations, drive reconciliation, and establish an auditable control environment that scales with client programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in financial operations, treasury, or loss fund management.
• 3+ years leading leaders (managing managers or senior team leads).
• Demonstrated ownership of a financial controls environment (SOD, dual authorization, reconciliation sign-off).
• Deep knowledge of loss fund mechanics, including U.S. trust accounts and Lloyd’s Premium Trust Fund.
• Strong command of GAAP accounting practices, U.S. state DOI regulations related to loss funds, and FCA framework.
• Experience owning banking relationships and managing wire/EFT and payment-operations.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial topics to executive stakeholders.
• Advanced skills in Excel and BI tools (Looker/Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Own loss fund financial operations across the U.S. and Lloyd’s markets.
• Directly manage the Manager who runs Fund Operations & Reconciliation, and lead the Governance pillar.
• Set the operating model, staffing plan, and performance standards for the growing function.
• Act as the primary financial escalation point for client disputes.
• Design, document, and maintain internal controls framework (SOD, dual authorization, sign-off).
• Own monthly consolidated reconciliation package and sign off by deadline.
• Own all loss fund banking and partner relationships; oversee liquidity and funding adequacy.
• Ensure audit readiness and regulator compliance across jurisdictions.
