Job summary

Wake Forest University seeks a Director to lead the direction of assigned sports telecasts and manage on-site productions. The role directs technical teams, plans schedules, and ensures live broadcasts meet production standards.

The Technical Director will coordinate with ACC Network, lead editorial direction, and supervise staff and students in a fast-paced live environment. This full-time position requires after-hours availability as needed.

Qualifications

BA or BS in related field with three to five years related experience in live broadcast operations.
Has an established ability to create and produce compelling sports remote telecasts from concept to execution.
Has mastery of the sports production processes and the ability to produce assigned sports/events.

Responsibilities

Directs all assigned technical and production personnel in most aspects of the productions.
Leads moment-to-moment editorial direction of content, show content, replay angles, graphics, and data in real time.
Oversees on-site production arrangements and establishes schedules for live telecasts.
Directs telecast by cutting cameras, wipes, replays, and graphics with precision.
Assists in communicating production decisions to talent for optimum pacing and timing.
