Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management seeks a senior legal operations professional to manage the Investment Committee and data governance for its Real Estate Group in New York. The role spans across regions, sectors, and functions, coordinating investment review, governance, and technology-enabled solutions.

The candidate will drive committee cycles, develop practical guidance, and lead day-to-day data governance, with a strong emphasis on AI and process automation to improve efficiency and consistency.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4+ years of legal experience in a leading law firm, investment firm, or comparable organization.
• Experience supporting complex processes with cross-functional teams (legal, investment, operations, tech).
• Experience with private equity, M&A, real estate, funds, financing, or complex transactions preferred.
• Strong judgment; ability to apply policies to novel circumstances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across geographies and levels.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadline-driven workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Investment Committee process from submission through classification, routing, review, and follow-up.
• Manage day-to-day data governance for transactions, property and related data.
• Lead AI, automation and analytics initiatives to improve governance workflows.
• Provide targeted legal risk advisory and contract review as needed.
• Coordinate across investment, legal, finance, operations and technology teams.
