Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years in learning and development or related fields, with 5+ years leading teams or enterprise programs.
• Proven ability to design, scale, and evaluate enterprise learning programs that improve capability and performance.
• Experience leading change management initiatives with executive alignment and adoption planning.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide or multi-site initiatives across cross-functional enviroments with measurable impact.
• Strong executive leadership, coaching, and influence skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise learning and development strategy aligned with goals and priorities.

Job Summary:

The Director - Learning and Development provides strategic leadership for Versova’s enterprise learning, leadership development, and change management priorities. This role is accountable for designing, implementing, and measuring scalable development programs that strengthen employee capability, build leadership bench strength, and support operational excellence across the organization. The Director partners with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align learning strategies with business objectives, lead the training function, and champion a culture of continuous learning, adoption, and performance improvement.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop and execute an enterprise learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals, operational priorities, and long-term talent needs
• Establish and maintain processes to identify, assess, and develop leadership potential across Versova
• Oversee the design and delivery of technical training programs for various roles
• Lead implementation and governance of learning management systems and related tools to track, measure, and improve company-wide training effectiveness
• Develop and maintain an on-the-job training program for all farm-level positions
• Provide leadership for the training team, including talent selection, onboarding, performance management, career development, and corrective action
• Partner with senior leaders, functional stakeholders, and operational teams to assess capability gaps and prioritize learning solutions that support business objectives
• Lead enterprise change management for learning, process, and system initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, communication strategy, adoption planning, and sustainment
• Build and standardize change management processes in partnership with cross-functional teams, equip functional leaders to lead change, assess organizational impact, and measure adoption effectiveness
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars as needed
• Manage the training department budget, resources, and vendor relationships to maximize impact and return on investment
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to training

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, organizational development, talent development, or related disciplines, including 5+ years leading teams or enterprise programs
• Proven ability to design, scale, and evaluate enterprise learning programs that improve capability, engagement, and business performance
• Demonstrated success leading change management initiatives, including executive stakeholder alignment, communication strategy, training adoption, and sustainment planning
• Experience leading enterprise-wide or multi-site initiatives across complex, cross-functional environments with measurable business impact
• Strong executive leadership, team development, coaching, and influence skills
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation abilities
• Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in leadership development
• Familiarity with commercial egg production and farm operations
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience working with industry-recognized tools for identifying leadership potential

This position is primarily office-based, with potential for remote work as needed. This position requires travel approximately 20-25% of the time to various company locations for on-site training and development activities. The role involves some physical demands, including the ability to work in various climate conditions, including extreme cold when visiting farm locations. The work environment is fast paced, requiring strong adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage diverse training needs across the organization.
