Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking an Associate Director for Launch Excellence & Portfolio Capability Management to lead end-to-end launch governance, capabilities, and data-driven decision support across Animal Health products.

You will partner with R&D, Regulatory, Finance, and regional teams to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence. The role requires 5+ years in launch or PMO disciplines, strong project leadership, and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and governance

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in Launch Operations, PMO, Process Excellence, Commercial Operations, or related disciplines.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional programs in a matrixed global environment.
• Strong understanding of commercialization, launch management, portfolio management, and product development processes within Animal Health or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional KRD launch squads and governance processes.
• Consolidate launch status, risks, milestones, and decisions.
• Develop and deploy Launch Excellence capabilities, tools, and playbooks.
• Partner with Learning & Development to train staff on methodologies.
• Provide transparent progress updates to senior leadership.
