Job summary

Sunrise Landscape seeks a Director of Landscape Operations (Installation/Construction) to lead the Housing department, drive profitability, and ensure service excellence for commercial projects.

The role requires 5+ years in landscape operations management, strong financial acumen, and proven leadership of multiple teams. Office and field oversight, vendor relationships, and performance accountability are key.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing landscape maintenance or install/construction for commercial clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Landscape Management, Horticulture, Operations Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 4-8 years of progressive operational leadership experience.
• 3-5+ years leading multiple operational teams.
• Experience with operational management software such as Aspire or similar platforms.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing labor and operating budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the management-level escalation point for builder and homeowner communications requiring a senior response.
• Manages and communicates with project coordinators, warranty coordinators, and superintendents as needed.
• Owns Housing estimating entirely and independently for standard and custom projects.
• Oversees permitting process for Housing projects with builders and municipalities.
• Manages Aspire for Housing: invoicing, tickets, reporting and approvals.
• Produces weekly Housing reports and monthly summaries with revenue, margins, and cost details.
• Directly supervises all Housing positions and conducts regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Maintains builder relationships through visits and ongoing communication.
• Identifies opportunities to grow the department and builder partnerships.
