Job summary

Brookfield Residential is seeking a Director of Land Acquisition in Dallas to lead sourcing, underwriting, and negotiation of land deals. The role partners with executive leadership to drive strategy while guiding due diligence, financial analysis, and deal execution.

The position requires 10–12 years in Land Acquisition or related fields, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent communication abilities. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in Land Acquisition, Project Management and/or Forward Planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, urban planning or others.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills both verbal and written.
• Financial modeling and analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages financial analysis of development and investment opportunities, including the creation of detailed pro-forma and financial models.
• Oversees detailed proforma assumptions to support modeling accuracy and quarterly business plan updates.
• Lead negotiations with brokers, land sellers and buyers with the oversight of the VP of Land.
• Oversee underwriting assumptions and cash flow analysis for prospective opportunities.
• Lead project post feasibility approval and during escrow period to ensure closing obligations/conditions and timelines are achieved.
