Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Director to plan, direct and monitor strategic and tactical goals for the Laboratory Department in collaboration with the Medical Director and other clinical and operational stakeholders involved in hospital laboratory services.

The role will oversee all day-to-day administrative aspects including financial, operational and human resource issues, develop and approve technical policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative team focused on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or relevant science is required.
• If no bachelor’s degree, an Associate degree plus 7 years of Medical Technologist experience is required.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and monitors strategic and tactical goals for the Laboratory Department in collaboration with the Medical Director and other stakeholders.
• Directs day-to-day administrative aspects, including financial, operational and human resource issues; ensures quality and safety standards.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, or other acceptable science

Associates in Medical Technology + 7 years experience

Master’s in Business Administration or Health Administration (Preferred)
