University Health Retama Hospital seeks a Director of Laboratory Services to lead pathology operations and strategic initiatives. You will oversee administration, inform leadership on trends, and collaborate across departments to ensure high-quality lab services.

The role demands clinical lab certification, CAHEA-aligned training, and extensive healthcare experience. Reporting to the Vice President of Pathology Services, you will drive regulatory compliance, quality programs, and staff

Qualifications

• Five years of related, progressively responsible health care experience.
• Certification in clinical laboratory sciences by a recognized certifying agency.
• Structured clinical program CAHEA approved or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science with clinical lab certification may be required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee general administration and oversight of Retama Hospital pathology services.
• Inform Medical Directors, Managers and Supervisors of trends and propose changes.
• Monitor the Pathology Information System and ensure effective communication with IT and nursing staff.
• Collaborate with Donor Services management and Corporate Communications on donor program activities.
• Participate in regional and national management organizations to stay informed on pathology issues.
