Job summary

May Mobility seeks a Director of System Safety to lead the day-to-day product safety function, driving the L4 safety case, Driver-Out deployment plans with ride-hail partners, and SMS build-out. Reporting to the VP, Safety & Validation, you’ll manage a multi-disciplinary team and own the safety roadmap for US and Japan expansion.

Qualifications

8+ years in product or system safety engineering, with 3+ years on L3+ AV or comparable programs.
BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary team across systems, test execution, and safety risk and process/SMS.
Drive the Driver-Out gated deployment plan with strategic ride-hail partners and regulators.
Own the Safety Case Framework for L4 systems, including HARA, FTA, FMEA, and runtime-monitor coverage.
