Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Director, Technology Sourcing in Nashville to lead end-to-end IT category sourcing across a global spend under $1B, reporting to the VP of Indirect Sourcing. This role combines procurement excellence with technology strategies in a fast-moving retail environment.

You will guide a high-performing team, shape strategy for software, cloud, and services, and partner with Legal, Privacy, and Finance to drive cost savings, robust contracts, and strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with IT category focus.
• Proven track record managing high-value IT sourcing initiatives and negotiations.
• Experience in global retail or complex operating environments.
• Strong ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT category sourcing strategy across software, cloud, SaaS, hardware and services.
• Execute RFx events, negotiate complex contracts, and secure favorable terms.
• Develop TCO models, should-cost analyses, and market benchmarking.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, and Cybersecurity to manage risk and compliance.
• Coach and develop a high-performing sourcing team.
• Govern governance forums and leadership briefings.
