AbbVie seeks a Director, Category Management Lead to shape procurement strategy across IT categories, including professional services and outsourced IT. You will lead a team of category managers, align with partners, and drive governance, risk mitigation, and ESG initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in procurement with pharma industry knowledge, strong executive presence, and a track record of strategic impact across enterprise functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Business Admin, Supply Chain or Finance; Masters preferred.
• Minimum 12 years in procurement, supply chain or related function.
• Strong executive presence with influencing across the organization.
• Pharmaceutical industry knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Create overarching Category Strategy including supplier governance and SARMs.
• Utilize data analytics to transform procurement operations.
• Lead complex programs from strategy through implementation.
• Engage stakeholders across IT, Enterprise, R&D and Operations.
• Develop category playbooks, negotiations strategy and term sheets.
• Manage category council ensuring alignment with local needs.
• Identify supplier risks and ensure compliance with global standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of category managers.
