Job summary

Year Up United is seeking a Director of IT Operations & Security to lead strategic infrastructure, security, and service delivery across a national footprint. This hybrid role oversees MSP partnerships, cloud strategy, and a high-impact incident response program, while guiding the CIO and Executive Team on technology direction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure/operations experience.
• 5+ years in senior IT leadership managing multiple teams.
• Experience owning large-scale MSP relationships including contract negotiation and governance.
• Hands-on experience using AI or automation tools to streamline IT service delivery and reduce costs.
• Deep expertise in ServiceNow platform ownership and strategy.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure) and multi-location network and security architecture.
• Track record of leading major infrastructure initiatives on time and on budget.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for infrastructure, service delivery, and security across 20+ locations.
• Lead MSP contract negotiation, renewal, and governance with SLAs/OLAs.
• Direct internal and MSP-delivered security operations and incident response.
• Bring security policy into Executives' governance, with quarterly updates for CIO/Board.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve employee/student technology experience and reduce manual support.
• Mentor and develop a team of direct reports and MSP resources.
