Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

Position Summary

The Director, IT Business Partner is a strategic business partner responsible for strategy and results in Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, and Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Drug Safety. The role involves fostering strong relationships between business stakeholders and IT, advocating for IT needs, and leading portfolio management. This position is remote, with headquarters in Foster City, CA, and Parsippany, NJ, reporting to the Senior Director, IT Business Systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with business leaders to understand strategy and execution needs
• Serve as the primary contact for relevant teams to develop strategies, manage roadmaps, contribute to budgets, and deliver capabilities
• Participate in IT leadership to establish standards and governance aligned with corporate goals
• Stay informed on emerging technologies to advise stakeholders on strategy and roadmaps
• Manage project lifecycle activities for new systems and services
• Develop vendor/partner management strategies to improve performance and value
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, SOX, GDPR)
• Oversee solution delivery, testing, documentation, and process management

Competencies

• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11/Annex 11, CSV, GAMP5 guidelines
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Proactive, innovative, and collaborative problem solver
• Effective conflict negotiation and change leadership skills

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• 9+ years in business partnership, system implementation, and project management
• 6-8 years in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
• Experience with European regulatory requirements and third-party vendor management
• Proven record in GxP systems and holistic business process understanding
