What You’ll Do:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Investor Relations to support the Vice President of Investor Relations in leading our investor communication and engagement efforts. The Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the company's investor relations strategy while overseeing key activities such as the earnings process, investor meetings, event participation, supporting relationships with current and prospective investors, ensuring transparent and consistent communication, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep knowledge of capital markets, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Vice President of Investor Relations in developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with Tempus’s business objectives
  2. Serve as a key point of contact and maintain positive relationships with the investment community, sell-side analysts, and other stakeholders
  3. Assist in the preparation of investor-facing documents, including earnings reports, investor presentations, and press releases
  4. Help coordinate quarterly earnings calls, investor days, and other key investor engagement events
  5. Collect and analyze data on stock ownership, market conditions, consensus estimates, investor perceptions, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform investor communications

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  2. 5+ years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or capital markets
  3. Proven track record of supporting and executing investor relations strategies and ability to interpret financial data and market trends
  4. Strong understanding of financial reporting, SEC regulations, and disclosure requirements
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly
  6. Proficiency in investor relations platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet), M365
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  8. Demonstrated understanding of financial modeling and valuation concepts/techniques
  9. High level of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working in a publicly traded company, ideally within healthcare or technology
  2. Established relationships with the investment community, including buy-side and sell-side analysts
  3. Strategic mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends

Pay Ranges:

  • New York: $190,000 - $250,000 USD
  • California: $190,000 - $250,000 USD
  • Illinois: $170,000 - $230,000 USD

The salary ranges above are applicable if the role is performed from the specified locations and may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical, and other benefits depending on the position.

Additionally, for remote roles open to individuals in unincorporated Los Angeles, Tempus considers legal restrictions related to criminal history that may impact job duties, including engaging with customers, accessing confidential information, and handling sensitive data.
