This role will be performed onsite in the Chicago office.

Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) is seeking a Director, Investor Relations to support the firm’s growth by assisting with the investor relations function, which broadly encompasses investor operations, investor servicing, and investor reporting. As well as support its rapid growth across various investment platforms focused on the hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family rental sectors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Investor Relations will be responsible for supporting the firms’ investor relations function. The Investor Relations team is focused on building enduring value by effectively communicating AJCP’s strategy, investment attributes, financial performance, and addressing investors’ needs. The Director, Investor Relations is a key contributor throughout the entire investor lifecycle by supporting investor onboarding, servicing existing investors, and delivering reporting. The Director, Investor Relations will liaise with internal staff, external service providers and counterparties, and investors in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, while being flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient, and conducting oneself with utmost professionalism and confidentiality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Oversee key investor-focused initiatives including, but not limited to, the preparation of capital calls, distributions, investor contact updates, and investor transfer/assignment requests.
• Coordinate with various teams, including Investments, Accounting, Tax, and Legal teams, as well as external third parties, to support all investor-related needs.
• Manage and track the onboarding of investors and fund investments, including the coordination of subscription documents between third-party legal and fund administrator teams.
• Support the financial reporting process, including the preparation of quarterly and annual investor deliverables, tax filings, and investor-specific communications.
• Maintain investor portal and other investor-related and legal entity databases.
• Perform administrative responsibilities of the Investor Relations group.
• Assist with various ad hoc requests and other duties as assigned.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preferred

• 5+ years of investor relations or accounting experience.
• Experience at a real estate investment management firm or private equity firm.
• Experience in administering an investor portal.

The range listed is just one component of AJCP’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $100,000-$180,000. Other rewards may include annual bonuses. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
