Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is seeking a Director of Internal Communications to develop and execute comprehensive internal communications strategies. The role leads a team responsible for creating content across channels, including video, intranet, and newsroom articles, and oversees major employee-focused campaigns.

You will work with senior leadership to align messages with business goals, plan special events, and drive engagement through strategic communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, English, marketing or similar area of study.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• 3+ years' experience leading a team or senior individual contributor.
• Superior writing and editing skills with AP style proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication strategies across multiple channels.
• Lead content creation including videos, brochures, intranet and newsroom articles.
• Plan and manage events and initiatives (all-employee/management meetings, CEO Q&A).
• Lead the communications team, set objectives and measure success.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to meet business objectives through effective messaging.
