Job summary

Repair the World, a national Jewish service movement, is seeking a Director, Institutional Giving to lead grant writing, reporting, and institutional fundraising. The role drives storytelling to foundation partners, manages systems, and coordinates across program, finance, data, marketing, and development teams.

The supervisor reports to the Senior Director, Development as part of a seven-person Development team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, writing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in writing and managing foundation grant proposals and reports.
• Experience writing grant proposals in the $50,000 to $1,000,000+ range.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience supervising staff and supporting professional growth.
• Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM system.
• Familiarity with donor research tools and project management platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead grant writing for foundation proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports.
• Translate programs, impact, and priorities into compelling narratives for funders.
• Gather content, outcomes data, and financial information for proposals with program, evaluation, finance, and leadership staff.
• Ensure timely submission of grant deliverables with high clarity and storytelling quality.
• Coordinate internal inputs for grant submissions across departments.
• Supervise the Donor Communications Manager and align donor storytelling across materials.
