Position Summary

The Director, Inside Sales at Empower Pharmacy is a transformative sales leader responsible for scaling a high-performing, customer-focused Inside Sales organization that delivers significant business growth and prescription volume. This role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven leader who excels at developing talent, optimizing sales processes, and aligning cross-functional teams. Through insight-led execution and provider-first engagement, you will play a critical role in advancing Empower Pharmacy’s mission to make quality, affordable medication more accessible across the nation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leads, coaches, and inspires a high-performing Inside Sales organization by setting clear performance targets, delivering structured training, and cultivating a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and top-tier provider engagement.
  • Develops and executes scalable inside sales strategies aligned with company growth initiatives, using data and insights to optimize lead conversion, increase prescription volume, and expand Empower’s national footprint.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales Operations to drive operational alignment, streamline provider onboarding, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Owns sales pipeline performance and forecasting by implementing robust analytics tools, conducting detailed pipeline reviews, and delivering strategic insights to executive leadership to inform high-level planning and resource allocation.
  • Designs and standardizes sales processes, playbooks, and standard operating procedures, to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance across all Inside Sales functions while enabling scalable growth and rapid team onboarding.
  • Serves as the voice of the customer and market intelligence lead by gathering feedback, analyzing competitor positioning, and influencing cross-functional decisions that drive innovation, improve service delivery, and elevate Empower’s reputation as a trusted pharmacy partner.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams, exceeding growth targets, and optimizing sales performance through analytics and strategic execution.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and inside sales platforms; working knowledge of pharmaceutical products, clinical terminology, and healthcare regulations is preferred.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of Inside Sales leadership experience, preferably within healthcare, pharmacy, or life sciences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred certifications include Inside Sales Management Certification (AA-ISP); Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
