Lewis Brisbois, a premier AmLaw 100 firm, seeks a Director of Information Governance in New York to lead enterprise information governance strategy, governance frameworks, and compliance across offices and units. This role partners with risk management, information security, and eDiscovery to safeguard client data throughout its lifecycle.

The position focuses on policy creation, lifecycle management, privacy, and regulatory adherence while driving digital transformation and strong governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Governance, Records Management, Data Governance, Compliance, eDiscovery, Risk Management, or Legal Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing governance or compliance programs.
• Significant experience in a large law firm, professional services organization, or highly regulated industry.
• Certifications related to Information Governance strongly preferred: IGP, CRM, CIPP, CISSP, CIGO or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Firm's enterprise Information Governance strategy and roadmap.
• Lead modernization of information governance practices to support digital transformation.
• Advise Firm leadership on information-related risks and governance best practices.
