Job summary

OSF HealthCare seeks a Director of Infection Prevention & Control to provide strategic leadership for the system-wide infection prevention program. You will set vision, governance, and priorities, driving an enterprise prevention strategy across hospitals and ambulatory sites, partnering with executives to improve safety and quality.

The role requires clinical expertise, CIC certification, and demonstrated leadership in a complex health system to reduce HAIs and promote best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a clinical field or public health, nursing, microbiology, epidemiology, or related healthcare discipline.
• 5 years of Infection Prevention experience; 3 years of leadership.
• Current licensure in clinical area of expertise; CIC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for the infection prevention program.
• Establish vision, priorities, governance, and accountability structures.
• Lead enterprise-wide prevention strategy across hospitals, ambulatory settings, and care locations.
• Collaborate with executive, clinical, operational, and physician leaders to foster safety and quality.
