Job summary

The University of Toledo seeks a Director, Industry and Funding Partnerships in the Office of Research and Innovation to lead industry engagement and funding initiatives across colleges, centers and institutes. The role reports to ORI leadership and works to align capabilities with external opportunities.

Responsibilities include building relationships with companies, government agencies, foundations and other partners; advancing collaborative opportunities from concept through proposal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in research development, industry engagement, strategic partnerships, economic development, external funding, or grant strategy.
• Experience coordinating complex, multi-partner initiatives.
• Excellent communication, relationship-management, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advance the University's industry engagement and strategic funding efforts across colleges, centers, and institutes.
• Develop relationships with companies, government agencies, foundations, economic development organizations, and other partners; identify opportunities and align with the university's strategic plan.
• Build processes and an opportunity pipeline to support proactive industry engagement and grant opportunities.
