Job summary

The Division of Research and Innovation at Oregon State University is seeking a Director of Industry Engagement & Economic Impact. This full-time, 12-month professional faculty role leads CRM implementation, metrics development, and cross-campus engagement to advance Prosperity Widely Shared.

Hybrid work is allowed on the Corvallis campus. With 6–8 years in economic development or industry engagement, you'll influence strategic partnerships, data-driven decisions, and campus-wide collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6–8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in economic development, industry engagement, partnerships, or related areas.
• Experience building and managing cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external partners across sectors.
• Ability to analyze data and synthesize information to support strategic decisions.
• Experience managing complex projects with competing priorities.
• Strong written, verbal, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work in a matrixed or decentralized organization with influence across boundaries.
• Experience engaging diverse groups across backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and improvement of an enterprise CRM for industry engagement.
• Develop institutional metrics, reporting frameworks, and dashboards.
• Design and manage the university’s industry engagement front door and intake processes.
• Coach and develop staff and faculty for external engagement.
• Coordinate with colleges, centers, and admin units to align engagement activities.
• Build BI and insights to inform decision-making and measure impact.
• Cultivate strategic industry relationships and scalable engagement models.
