Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent post-graduate degree in Immunology or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in academia and relevant biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading project teams and managing CROs/vendors.
• Experience in drug discovery with preclinical development leadership and IND filing.

Responsibilities

• Lead immunology and cell biology strategy for target validation and biomarker discovery across the portfolio.
• Design, develop, and oversee cell-based assays using primary human immune cells and disease-relevant models.
• Provide immunological support for early-phase antibody discovery including target engagement and functional assays.
• Drive immunology components of IND-enabling studies and translational assay development.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing immunology team with hiring and performance management.
• Manage CROs and external collaborators supporting immunology assay development and biomarker studies.
• Partner cross-functionally to align immunology strategy with program timelines and milestones.
• Present data and strategic recommendations to senior leadership for go/no-go decisions.
• Track emerging immunology science to inform program strategy in IBD and autoimmune diseases.
