Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking an accomplished HR leader to serve as Director of Human Resources for a Lifespace community in Pennsylvania. You will partner with the Executive Director and operational leaders to drive strategy, culture, and talent initiatives, shaping an exceptional workplace experience.

The role emphasizes strategic partnership, workforce planning, and leadership development across the community, with a focus on engagement and compliant HR practices.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of progressive HR experience, including strategic and/or leadership responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong experience in employee relations, talent management, recruiting, workforce planning, and engagement.
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and partner with operational leaders.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with community leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, talent, engagement, and retention.
• Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance, investigations, conflict resolution, and change.
• Lead recruitment for community leadership positions and strengthen talent pipelines.
• Drive talent reviews, succession planning, onboarding, and leadership development.
• Champion Lifespace's culture and create an exceptional team member experience.
• Use workforce data and trends to identify opportunities and influence decisions.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and HR best practices.
• Lead and develop the community HR Assistant.
