Job summary

NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) is seeking a Director of HR Partners to lead the HR Partner team, collaborate with PODEI, and drive talent management, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives across the organization.

The role requires extensive HR expertise, executive advisory skills, and a commitment to NRDC’s mission. Expect regular travel to NRDC offices in the U.S. and abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent.
• SHRM-SCP or SPHR credential strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of progressive HR experience across multiple functions.
• Experience leading HR projects and managing teams.
• Experience in compensation, DEI, and union environments.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages a global HR Partner team and sets goals.
• Partner with PODEI leaders on talent and DEI initiatives.
• Advise executives on talent, workforce planning, and organizational design.
• Lead HR projects and annual HR cycle deliverables.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and effective HR analytics.
