Job Summary

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis role is responsible for organizing and directing the financial planning process for the overall Talent & Learning ecosystem inclusive of Impact & Inclusion. Role will be responsible for preparing financial statements and providing analysis and observations to senior management. Role will lead and conduct special projects involving business case development with key stakeholders to provide management with data to inform decision making and prudent resource allocation decisions.
This role partners with Corporate and Cable key stakeholders and Finance teams to align on financial expectations, execution of strategic vision and acts as a positive catalyst for operational excellence, performance measurement and ensures an environment of financial integrity.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Leads the creation, consolidation, implementation, and oversight of annual Talent & Learning forecast and long-range plan.
  • Serves as a direct point of contact for senior management to communicate financial planning, workforce planning and other business needs. Works collaboratively to resolve issues or address funding needs.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders (including Cable business owners and Finance teams) to manage, complete, and track the monthly financial forecast.
  • Manages the monthly financial close process, including communication and coordination with business unit owners and respective accounting teams on month-end close journal entries, review of the monthly financials for financial accuracy, and completion of monthly financial close summary and budget / forecast variance analysis.
  • Provide support and facilitation of financial operations functions to ensure timely execution of contracts, purchase orders, or SOWs as needed.
  • Develops ways to continually improve processes to ensure timely and accurate budget analysis for management team.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

General:

  • Strong communication, collaboration and project management skills required.
  • Ideation and implementation of methods to streamline and standardize processes to support the Finance function and Corporate and Cable business partners.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Prior Comcast Finance & Accounting experience preferred.
